SCoP x Prix Pictet:
A Lens On Sustainability

2021. 09. 11

Over the recent years, sustainability has been widely discussed and prioritised around the globe. In 2015, all United Nations Member States adopted all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which helps end poverty, protect the planet, and improve everyone's lives and future. The public's understanding of sustainability and awareness of their responsibility in protecting the environment has been increasing through social media, trending news and public governance. This year's focus has been environmental protection. From Australian bushfires, fires in tropical rainforests to the flood in Zhenzhou, the effect of climate change is all around us. The Prix Pictet is a cutting-edge global award in photography and sustainability. It aims to use the power of photography to attract global attention to issues all humans face, primarily environmental issues.

Therefore, at the opening of Prix Pictet's eighth cycle "Hope" exhibition at Shanghai Centre of Photography. We invited three masters in their respective fields to talk about their photography stories and how photography can bring attention to sustainability.
