Chen Ronghui:

SCoP is privileged to have a special guest —— Chen Ronghui, who is one of the ten photographers of the exhibition “Social Geography: Ten Journeys with a Camera”, to share his insights. As a young Chinese photographer and story teller, Chen has been focusing on projects about urbanisation in China for years. The exhibited project Runaway World exemplified this, picturing the absurd reality and its the lager social context. The young factory worker in a Christmas hat bathed in “holy light” from his project Christmas Factory won the award of the World Press Photo with which he started exploring the possibilities of portrait photography.
