Zhou Yulong:

Use images to express concepts and

Use photography to

construct "history"

2021. 01. 09

On the afternoon of January 9, SCoP's first event this year, we invited photographer Yulong Zhou to share his photography experience. In addition to the commercial photoshoots, Yulong Zhou started to shoot his personal series in 2005 about history which launched his long-term artist journey. His artistic series include, "A Chinese Bestiary", "Phoenix", "In The Penal Colony", "Midday Sun", "The Departed", "Onlooker", "1934" and more. Zhou Yulong's focus gradually shifted from symbolic and concrete issues to a more extensive study of abstractness and used photography as a conceptual expression tool.
